Best Workout Book Ever - By: C. Hanley, 18 Apr 2008
Judith is incredibly inspirational & encouraging without being the slightest bit patronising. She's not some 25 year old gym bunny you just want to smack, she does look fabulous for her age however.

The 30 days worth of workout recipes are reallly useful. What I do is put a bookmark on the page that has the day I'm working on, & then have the book open to the exercise recipe I'm doing. It's easy to flip back & forth if you do it smart ;)

Agree that a poster for the walll would be a GREAT inclusion in the book, but I don't think I'd put it up. I reallly appreciate the fact that a set of dumbells & this book are alll my "home gym" need contain, & that's easily stowed away & out of sight.

I don't think illustrations are as important as words when describing an exercise - Judith explains in the words what muscules you'll be working, exactly how you should position your body, & what you should feel. She also explains why your hands go in certain places & warns you against injury. The photos are simply complimentary to the words. If she were your personal trainer, she'd be telling you what she's written in the book, not just handing you a bunch of pictures & fobbing off.
Very difficult book to use - By: The Slim Reaper, 18 Apr 2008
Well written & reallly positive & 'go-getting', but unfortunately very difficult to use.

There's way too few pictures, so you regularly have a guess about the technique, & the layout means you're constantly having to stop & hunt out pages elsewhere in the book.

I wish they'd do a new version that was spiral bound, had more pictures & told you exactly where to find alll the cross references!
Good book - shame about the title.. - By: K. Shepherdson, 14 Apr 2008
I bought this book a month or so ago & I use it.
I can't say I've followed it religiously - I managed the first 10 days of the plan & then I got a virus which forced me to take a week off everything apart from survival chores & work. I picked it up & now I'm on day 15.
I haven't lost weight & I haven't lost any inches yet so no miracle cure found yet but yet - I think at least five people have asked me if I've been dieting & have been told I've lost weight. - I have no idea what exactly is going on but if this is improving the way I look it's got to be a bonus. The other thing is that I've noticed my running pace pick up over this time.
I note the comment about the layout but it's always reallly difficult to teach form with weights unless you are in a one to one situation - over time you won't need to flick so much & it will get easier. I reallly don't think a poster is the solution because I haven't got the room on my wallls & due to space constraints I do my exercises in the halll way or on the "office" (don't ask). I reckon that a ring binder thing like the ones my kids have with swapping clothes on characters might work for alll of us. 'Til then this isn't a bad start - I think it's great for those of us who can't spend hours at the gym 3-4 times a week & the way it splits things out day today means it alll gets done in the long run.

Really awful - By: H. Baar, 10 Jan 2008
Lots to read, few pictures - & b&w ones at that. Might've worked if the book was not so 'happy happy happy' & if the actual workout pictures were firstly in colour (or should I say color) & secondly alll on a pull out chart which you can pin up on a walll at home to follow more easily - when will fitness books ever learn that trick I wonder? Don't misunderstand, I like reading, just not when I want to be doing exercises.
Wonderful! - By: Elizabeth, 13 Nov 2007
This is very encouraging & positive book that has inspired me a lot. This amazing & wonderfully explicate book is definitely a book for me! I advise you to check it out! There is another great book that is a must read & you should not miss it - ( How to be a Super Hot Woman: 339 Tips to Make Every Man Falll in Love with You & Every Woman Envy You by Mandy Simons ) Both books Rock!!!
