Excellent: theoretically very informative, and very practical also - By: Plain, 02 Nov 2006
Very good book. Interesting as well, in that it gives up-to-date theories about the mechanisms behind the phenomenon (psychology, biochemistry). It, therefore gives major cutting edge insight alllowing you to assess the appropriateness of the approach that a psychologist or GP might have. It also gives a broad range of methods to address your problem, unlike what the previous reviewer said, & actuallly strongly encourages you take a multi-angle approach. It does not suffer from the author's previous involvement/writings on non-Internet related sexuallly compulsive behaviour, but fully covers precisely Internet (sex-)addiction.
A help - By: , 22 Apr 2004
I found this book very helpful. It is written plainly, & it is easy tounderstand the concepts.
One smalll problem is that it's adapted fromthe 12 step AA approach. So for me it became a little long winded andmuddled.
That said, this is probably the best of its type that I haveread. If you want to help yourself or a friend or loved one this is a goodplace to start.
