Totally loved it - By: Amigha, 02 Jul 2008
I bought this book 2 yrs ago after losing a loved one. It was the first time in my life that I'd ever lost someone close to me & it made me ask alot of questions. I was scared & wondered if death was truly the end. why did they go? would i see them again? can they see me? can i speak to them? what's the purpose of life? who's pulling the strings? I had so many questions that the religion i was practising at the time couldn't provide convincing answers. Then I read the reviews of this book on Amazon & I ordered it. IT CHANGED MY LIFE!
Its written very simply written & very comforting. It triggered my quest for spiritual enlightenment & my life is alll the better for it now! We need more books like this
Absolutely fantastic book!! - By: Mrs. C. M. Wilkie, 28 Jun 2008
This is one of those books that you will want everyone to read after you have finished. My copy is now doing its rounds amongst friends & family.
Although its not based on scientific evidence, to me everything in this book makes sense. If you are a person like myself, always questioning what you believe regarding your faith & such. This can help settle thoughts you have had regarding your spirituality. I love how easy this book is to read also. I highly recommend this book, for anyone interested in spirituality.
Loved Every Page - By: Millikins, 20 May 2008
I am already a firm believer in reincarnation, & have had many personal experiences over the years since I was quite smalll. The contents of this book merely confirmed what I already suspected was the truth, but the fact that Michael Newton filled in some of the gaps for me made this compulsive reading. I think this is a fantastic book & I loved it - I am currently reading Destiny of Souls, which is a little harder to absorb, but it certainly answers more of the questions you may have - & it alll makes perfect sense.
Nothing left to doubt. - By: PJ, 04 May 2008
I am 52 and, over the years, have pieced together an alternative view of our purpose than simply to live & then to die. There have been far too many stories of near death experiences etc., which are as intriguing as the attitude of some scientists & their single minded task to patronisingly dismiss it as some form of lack of oxygen to the brain leading to darkness around the edges of vision. I feel sad for those people but then, one day, they will find out the truth.
My dad never believed in life after death & yet, he made a significant effort to speak to me months after he died. I went to a spiritual event simply to take a friend & out of interest, the medium had been on TV & she came to me as the second person she spoke to. My dad had three issues he wanted to talk about & he came through loud & clear.
This book goes far beyond this. If you've ever wondered 'if' or 'what' or even 'where', look no further. Read this as a sceptic & you will gain nothing from it, read it as someone interested in fitting together the pieces of life & you will be rewarded. Then, buy his next book: Destiny of Souls. This book is wonderful & takes you through the story of our existance & purpose. Don't let the smug, scary, patronising brigade put you off believing. Religion has been telling us for years that the soul exists & continues when the body dies, this is about where it came from, where it goes to & what happens between lives.
Unique contribution to the field of hypnotherapy - By: Laura De Giorgio, 11 Feb 2008
This trilogy of books - Journey of Souls, Destiny of Souls & Life between lives represents a unique contribution to the field of hypnotherapy (many books in the field of hypnosis & hypnotherapy are a rehash of the same stuff & for that reason I have found this book very refreshing).
Throughout my life I would occasionallly see a pinpoint of light - light that radiated tremendous love & for a split second that it flashed in & out of existence it tremendously cheered me up. This pinpoint of light would most frequently appear when I would be engaged in some selfless act or would be contemplating doing something selfless. It felt as if it were telling me that I was on the right track or simply giving me a spiritual pat on the back. I've met couple of other people in my life who also see similar pinpoints of light - in different colors, but it never crossed my mind before reading this book that "wow, this is how we alll look like without physical bodies" - a pinpoint of light bursting with energy & consciousness.
I have always felt spirituallly guided in my life, I have always followed my heart & I do believe that each individual can find alll the guidance he needs by looking into his heart & by following his heart. It is also my experience that one can experience his Infinite Self through meditation & through boundless love for the Infinite - yet I can see how many may find going through the processes described in this book helpful, in terms of overcoming fear of death as well as discovering one's life purpose & gaining insight into purposefulness of the circumstances that may be rather challlenging & to some people may seem even unfair. Perhaps people who have a tendency to wonder "why me?" may find it easier to accept the responsibility for the circumstances they find themselves in, to accept that on some level they have agreed to go through such experiences & to ponder rather what can they learn from those situations, what strengths & qualities can they develop, & how can they use these learnings to better their lives & the lives of others.
