Quite simply the loveliest prayer book for children I have ever come across. Sister Wendy draws meaning from famous works of art & then applies them brilliantly to everyday situations with great wisdom. This is an intensely practical as well as spiritual book, & very helpful for the parent too! Each page has a very brief description of the painting, a longer chat about how a certain topic can affect our lives, & then a prayer to sum up. Easy for first readers to manage but the concepts can be understood by children as young as 4.
