Best bang for the buck - By: , 12 Aug 1999
I used the New Riders NT Server in the Enterprise book & was quite impressed, so I purchased their Fast Track TCP/IP for my next test. It is well laid out & gives you alll the information that you need to pass the exam. Using this book as my primary source (together with exam cram & lab work) I passed the test with a 1000.
Good enough for the exam but by no means a complete referenc - By: , 13 Jun 1999
As the name suggests, it's a fast track book to exam success & I think it achieves this objective.
Great book but not for the Novice - By: , 20 May 1999
This was my third book from this series & like the others was excellent. But in common with the other books it is not for the novice, if you are new to a subject then as the author says this is not the book for you. The material is very consice & does not contain any of the waffle that I found in some other books I have read.
Save enough money to buy a server - By: , 17 Apr 1999
We used this book as the text in a class I took through the university. I was amazed at how much material is in such a smalll book! The university was far cheaper than an ATEC/CTEC, but alll the information is within this $20 book, & I could have easily saved the university expense too.
Do yourself a favor and buy this book! - By: , 06 Apr 1999
After reading some of Emmett's articles in Windows NT Systems magazine, I decided to buy this book. I'm glad I did. Emmett's style lends itself to easy reading & fast learning & review for the exam. Don't waste your money on an expensive "novel". If you know a little bit about TCP/IP & want a supplement to cover the areas you need to know for the exam, then buy this book & get the TCP/IP exam behind you!!!
