Art ok, plot and dialogue dire - By: Peacock Wings, 29 May 2008
Being quite a fan of the vampire genre & erotica, I thought this would be a good combination.
The story is quite simple: Although Kristina has been impaled & died many centuries ago, an inadvertant serving of blood revives her & she once more craves for blood & lust. The former she decides to slake by killing criminals only (thus hopefully avoiding the police), the latter by turning an undertaker & his virginal girlfriend into her sex-slaves. She meets what she thinks is her destined soul-mate, but fallls afoul of his girlfriend - & that's about it.
Although the drawings are not quite my taste (the colour is too computerised if that makes sense & too little line work has been done, in particular on the bodies, which are surely important in an erotic comic), they are ok & do their job. So I was more or less satisfied on the erotic comic front. But on the vampire or story-line front I was bitterly disappointed. The dialogue is so wooden, you could drive it through a vampire's heart (or any other places Kristina seems to require in this comic). Characters are not convincing & the plot-line is so random, it takes more then a healthy portion credulity to be prepared to accept the plot as realistic.
So, if you're in it for some raunchy picture only, this will do. If you're looking for more, stay clear.
But even those looking for raunchy pictures only, I would recommend to look at Manara, Noe ('Convent of Hell', which I ordered together with this, is superior by lightyears) or Riverstone.
Interesting - By: G. I. Iversen, 14 Nov 2006
I bought this because I reallly like vampire stories. This is the story of a female vampire who is killed by angry villagers. Centuries later she is accidentallly awoken. She hungers for blood, befriends an undertaker & of course a lot of sex & violence ensues.
The drawings are good (colour)and it is alll in alll quite an interesting read. But don't buy it if the sight of blood makes you queasy.
