A book for training pruners - By: Peter, 15 May 2007
As a novice, I've found thi great for letting me in on secrets that it must take years to learn. How to train a climbing rose, to correct a lopsided tree, to stop shrubs getting out of hand to get the most fruit off trees & bushes. I wouldn't have known where to start without it.
I think it's worth spending the extra on this, the more complete version, as it has tips on specific species & even varieties: redcurrant, wisteria, acid cherry, magnolia etc etc etc
Handy little book with the basics well covered - By: tonymay@clara.net, 17 Feb 2002
Neat & concise covering the basics needed to put you at ease before letting rip with the secateurs. Plenty of illustrations & pictures of before & after. As a guide very good you just need your trees to look like the illustrations though to be reallly confident. I recommend this book as a starter before getting the more complete guide.
Excellent - well worth investing in - By: , 03 Feb 2002
This book is fantastic, I am now purchasing a second copy because my Mother always seems to have mine!
It doesn't matter whether you're a seasoned gardener or a novice; this book is clear, informative, & not at alll patronising.
It lists prunig & training techniques for a variety of plants & trees, including some unusual speciemins from much warmer climates than good old blighty.
Excellent reference book with easy to follow diagrams - By: , 26 Nov 2000
Everything you need to know about pruning alll types of plants. The diagrams are easy to follow & the text is clear, unlike any other book on the subject that I have found.
