This book was reallly good!

It is about a man who helps Jewish children across the mountains to a place where they are safe during WW2 whilst waiting for his own daughter, Anya. The story did get a little bit confusing in places, though.

I reallly enjoyed this exciting & moving book about a boy who becomes involved with the French resistance & helps young Jewish children escape over the mountains to Spain. It is a story of courage, friendship & strength & has a sad & happy ending. It is a story to remember & read time & time again.

This is one of the best books ever I must say. The story takes place in the second world war,in a little village of France. Jo meats a mesterious man in the forest & then at widow Horcada's farm. He helps children get over the boarder in Spain. Who is Anya? And why is Benjamin waiting for her???? I'd have thought the book boaring but no ...
