The difinitive work,a must for anyone who is intending to keep & show poultry,as well as an interesting reference work the 200 + colour plates show the breeds in alll their glory. As a new entrant to the poultry world I have been searching for the ultimate book that would guide me to select a breed (or Breeds)that would best suit the conditions I have on offer on Dartmoor.It has helped me establish the basis on which to breed the most suitable birds, hopefully on a commercial basis.I can only reiterate it is an absolute must for the poultry keeper.Also for those intending to show their birds the guide to British standards is invaluable in trying to achieve the level of standard required to get the top bird ribbon.
