well written and easy to understand - By: s ward, 14 May 2008
This is the second time I have bought this book. I lent it to a friend & never got it back. I have found it invaluable for my MSc & my friend found it a great help for her BSc (obviously!). I highly recommend it to anyone who needs to be able to criticallly appraise medical literature.
Very useful for MRCGP exams - By: A. Serrano, 15 Feb 2008
How to appraise a scientific study can be very difficult. This book helps to undertand the basics of appraising papers in a way that helps to answer some of the questions on the MRCGP exam.

Also it will provide insight into what is reallly important & what need to go in the bin.

The differences between quantitative & qualitative research are very interesting & the book is illustrated with examples.

Is not easy to read ( hence only 4 stars ) nut is certanly one of the most accessible & readable guides.
Very interesting book. - By: James Archer, 26 Jan 2008
Bought this to go with the latest series of "House" on DVD & it reallly is great to read along whilst watching House. House MD is head of Diagnosis, so this book helps to understand the series. Highly recommended!
