This book was very helpful when I studied for CAE. It explains a lot of complicated grammatical points with a variety of exercises. On top of that, this book is reallly useful to learn a great number of collocations by topic, plus some detailed explanations about phrasal verbs & vocabulary. As an aid to reaching an advanced level in English, I think this book is a real challlenge.

It is very good if you want to learn advanced grammar for any purpose. For CAE & proficiency exams most efficacious. You may have difficulty on Phrasal Verbs. I also recommend for phrasal verbs ISBN: 0-19-431-5436.
