What a disappointment this audio book was. The narrator squashes E. Nesbit's lively prose with a flat, nasal American accent. Then, inexplicably, she attempts English accents for the dialogue, which ends up in a muddle of accents, sometimes within the same sentance. My advice is to skip this & read the book for yourself: it is a gem.
