In which Bacchus, alive in recent times, does the greek islands with his devotee Simpson (Bacchus always needs an audience). For those not familiar with previous Bacchus Comics they usuallly involve Bacchus' adventures to a lesser exent & his stories to a greater extent. This is particularly true of this volume which has retellings of greek myths often given a Bacchus spin, along with tales of his meetings with Dom Perignon among others, well he is the god of wine.

The conversational style of the stories makes them a delight to read, indeed this is true of most of Eddie Campbell's work. Though the gods frequent the stories herein, this volume isn't about superheroes just wit, wine & the odd bacchanal rite.
