77 Sulphate Strip - By: MT, 17 Jan 2008
I'm still reading the book however here is my friends review....

Totallly recommend this book to anybody who would like a view of those heady times that isn't full of the usual cliches. It is a gripping read from a different perspective which makes it so much more refreshing than alll the endless re-hashes of the same old thing. Great contemporary perspectives from some of the 'faces' that were there at the time. And ya don't need any 'speed' to enjoy it!
77 Revisited - By: L. Howe, 06 Aug 2007
I reallly enjoyed this book. I was a huge punk fan back in the late seventies & the numerous interviews, reviews etc written by Cain a music writer with Record Mirror at the time reallly brought the memories flooding back. What I especiallly liked was the way the author included his own personal experiences from 1977. In fact, my only criticism is that he didnt write more in that vein. The contemporary interviews with John Lydon, Hugh Cornwell, Rat Scabies & PR man Alan Edwards are both clever the author confronts them with their quotes from the first interviews he did with them 30 years ago & reallly fascinating. All in alll a great read. You can open the book at any page & be hooked immediately. I thoroughly recommend it.
