This made me laugh and reassured me at the same time - By: , 05 Jan 2005
My wife is expecting our first baby & someone kindly gave me this book for Xmas. It made me laugh & reassured me at the same time. Look, to be honest, I am petrified about becoming a dad for the first time. I hadn't a clue what to expect & this book did ease a lot of my fears. It's no picnic going through this stuff for the very first time - & my wife says we are going to have lots of babies.....I hope there is a follow up - what to expect during the first year, that sort of thing because, to put it bluntly, I'm a bit s**t scared of that part of the process as well. Good book. Worth a read even if you aren't a lad about to become a dad. Made me laugh & it's well written - & I loved the bomb (you'll have to read it to understand...)
Excellent Read - By: Helen Collier, 09 Dec 2004
This book had me rolling on the floor with laughter in parts. Being a mum already I totallly empathised with the author & his wife throughout his account. The help notes are just what couples may need to cope with the problems encountered in pregnancy.
Both funny & informative - I cannot recommend this highly enough.
Excellent gift for an expectant father (or indeed mother) - By: sarah davies, 08 Dec 2004
This book is a fabulous "survival guide" if you know of any male who has just found out that he is about to be a father. From a woman's point of view, it is a fantastic insite into just how your man may be feeling about the pregnancy & the emotional turmoil he may be facing. A witty account of an expectant father's feelings throughout his wife's pregnancy which will have you laughing as well as some important information about help available to you. An absolute must for any couple you know who are expecting a child.
From Lad To Dad - By: Zoe Archer, 06 Dec 2004
This is a very interesting & funny book. As a mother of two smalll children I could relate to so much from begining to end. Some parts were so funny my sides hurt. It is informative with out being patronising & full of great tips. It was great to get an insight of how a man feels while his partner is going through some of the most amazing chances. I have recommend this book to a lot of people, one of whom is going from being 'a lad to a dad'and is full of fears & worries. I know this book will help him. I loved this book, it well worth reading even after having children & a few of my friends will be getting a copy for christmas.
