Excellent! - By: Silverbirch, 16 Sep 2007
This book has it alll! It's very readable & extremely informative, written by two authors who clearly know their subject matter inside out & reallly live Druidism.
Brilliant! - By: Ms. S. Mclaren, 25 May 2007
Mr Talboys is a committed druid of more than 30 years. This book is a great & informative mine of information, particularly relevant to those considering druidry as their path, or those already embarking on the path. Nothing fluffy, & inteligible. Top marks.
Some nice info, but severely flawed. - By: T. H. Krul, 28 Apr 2007
Now the first few chapters I read were very good. It showed the authors have plenty of knowledge about druidism, ancient celts & related stuff. Where they gave an opinion of something it was clearly defined. 5/5 for that part.

After that the chapters became a subtle preaching in my opinion, which would still have been alllright, however.....

The chapters became getting filled with false logic, wrong steps, no/weak arguments to substantiate point of views, their opinions were presented as the truth about matters. Contradictions in "facts" were made & more errors like those.

As the authors mentioned Truth is important in Druidry & as they also mentioned a lot of information about ancient forms of druidry have been lost. Then presenting their view of things as "the truth" is a violation of both druid spirit as what they claimed at the start of the book.

RATING:

**/*****

Nice facts at the start, & some at other parts throughout the book. The authors probably meant very well in writing it & they show they have substantial knowledge about the subjects. However they should have kept the book more in the style of the first chapters, by not doing so they pretty much ruined it.

For the writers: If you read this, I'd like to point out that either you should show the steps in your logic you omitted in the book, or if you don't have them, take a course in logic at an university. I see good potential, but especiallly on that subject (both of you?) can use more knowledge & wisdom.

Right now either the contents of the book are blindly accepted as truthful, which is not very druidic, or the book is useless because of the logical flaws & errors.

For potential buyers:
I hope the writers improve the book is there comes a new edition. Even if not, the book will give some nice introductory information of druidry.
New edition even better - By: Pilgrim, 23 Oct 2005
It is great to see that this book has been revised & updated. The authors have kept the overalll style & feel of the book whilst re-organising some of the material, adding new stuff, updating the resource section, & getting rid of some typos.
Same price, better book, much greater value. If you are a Druid & don't have this book on your shelf, you should buy it now.
Very informative - By: D. Jarosy, 26 Mar 2005
This is an excellent guide & sourcebook for those new to Druidry but also a pleasure to read for more experienced Druids. The style is unpretentious & easy to read & there are lots of ideas for celebrating rituals & much background information.
