Helps you figure out what you want - By: Roland Hanbury, 28 May 2006
There are lots of books which help you get the job that you want, but there are very few that help you figure out what you want in the first place.
This book has guided several people that I know through their midlife crisis by helping them identify what sort of a job they would find more satisfying than whatever it is they are currently doing.
The structured exercises force you to examine every aspect of your life including what you enjoy, what you're good at, what you spend your time on etc. If you put in the time & effort you will end up with both a reasonable idea of what you want & some idea of how to get it.

Follows a structured 6-stage process to help clarify where you are now, where you want to get to & how to get there.

Practical book that leads you step-by-step through the process of examining your values, interests & skills. It is easy to follow & provides lots of useful information & thinking points to help you reallly consider your options.
It would take over 40 hours to work through everything so take it chapter/chunk at a time & for maximum benefit, discuss your findings with a friend/coach to make sure you reallly take on board the key messages.
