This book contains alll the best-known & loved songs of James Taylor, including 'Carolina in my mind', 'Fire & Rain', 'Sweet Baby James' & 'You've got a friend'.
As such it provides a great starting point for someone wanting to learn how to play his songs.
The tabulation is easy to follow, & at the beginning of each song shows the different chords & versions which are used in that song. Some of the best tunes are also the simplest, for example Sweet Baby James didn't take long to learn, but is a real crowd pleaser. There is a good range though, so I'm still struggling a bit with the way he effortlessly goes through difficult chords at speed in some songs, like Don't let me be lonely tonight.

A good thing about this book is that it reallly does follow his Greatest Hits, so you can listen to the CD any time you are not quite sure how something goes.

This collection provides you with a nice range of songs to play, & everyone likes at least a couple of the songs.
