Everything a Hägar fan could want - By: Kurt A. Johnson, 29 Sep 2004
This lovable book bills itself as "an introduction to the Gothic Arts of Pillaging, Pilfering, Sacking, Looting, Ravaging & Plundering." Well, I wouldn't quite go so far. What it is instead is a look into the world of Hägar the Horrible, Viking extraordinaire. Created by the incomparable Dik Browne (1917-89), Hägar is a lovable rogue: fighting, carousing, drinking, & partying his way across Dark Ages Europe, & doing his share to make it just a little darker.

This book has everything a Hägar fan could want. It's explains who the Vikings are, how they think (or not), how they party, & what they do. Filled with Dik Browne's wonderful cartooning, it's a hilarious book. My two favorite parts are the Viking Code, & the list of the "10 Most Sackable Cities in Europe." This is a great book, a must-have for any Hägar fan. If you can get this book then do so, you won't regret it!
