Small, not for beginners - By: Lilyfae, 07 Nov 2004
There is intelligence in the pages & Cunningham does know what hes talking about. Cunningham is a standard in Wiccan literature & his other books are indeed classics if not required reading for anyone on this path.

However for me this one didn't have the 'magic' of his other books, which were a joy to read, even the encyclopaedias were readable for leisure rather than just for reference.
This however was rather drab in style, though it has information there.
The book is also quite smalll in size (far smalller than The Magical household) & as a result it is very difficult to read as the print is rather smalll.

People will disagree due to his reputation but if you REALLY want to know about aromatherapy oils & their properties & uses consult a regular aromatherapy book such as the Fragrant Pharmacy by Valerie Ann Worwood or those by Patricia Davies
Learn what essential oils reallly are, how they reallly work, how they should & shouldnt be used in a general & therapeutic environment THEN think about a magical aspect, please dont skip the real understanding, these oils are very powerful.

Wonderful! - By: Lina-elvira Back, 12 Sep 2004
Whether you are a witch or if you are interested in the magical qualities of essential oils & fragrant flowers this book is definitely for you! As always Mr Cunninghams book is full of quick references & his writing is both engaging & informative. This is a must buy for any witch & who can argue at the price??
