absolute crap - By: , 31 Jan 2006
what a waste of money. another rubbish so callled professional spewing out alll kinds of fluffed up na-na land nonsense. where do these people get their credentials? the paper in the book would have been put to better use as toilet roll. patronising at best.
Possibly Too Hard Hitting? - By: , 31 Dec 2003
There's no doubt this has the potential to be a life changing book. For me though it was just too hard hitting. Because, 'by day', I'm a calm, contented, together, mother of 3 I just could not manage the feelings this book stirred up. In consideration of my current everyday life I had to bin this book. Things were going to get more distressing before they got better. I couldn't handle this approach. BUT there is no doubt in my mind that this book would definitely have laid my past to rest if my current life didn't demand so much peace & calm of me in the meantime. It is hard hitting & easy to read & be moved by. It's approach is to go right back stage by childhood stage & racking over every moment & look honestly at alll those nasty times & REPARENT YOURSELF. It will work. It will. But you must be someone who can handle it! [I would recommend 'Recovery of Your Inner Child - Lucia Capacchione' if, like me, you need a more soothing & sentimental YET as gloriously shattering an approach using art therapy & working with you child within. Stunning book. A blessing of a find!]
a very rewarding book - By: , 26 May 1999
This is a thorough book. You must be willing to recover very badly to start this journey, because it takes a lot of courage to explore yourself this way. It is written in a friendly, positive style. The writer seems to know exactely what she is talking about. I learned so much about myself from this book!
