Old & out of date - By: R. Castle, 10 Feb 2007
I was looking forward to reading this, but I found it a reallly hard read & quite boring. The events take place in the seventies, & don't give a realistic picture of the cocaine smuggling trade of the present day.
If the description said it was from the 70's then maybe I would have known what to expect.
A disapointment & glad I didn't pay for it
Interesting, fun but a bit dated - By: Suesie, 13 Sep 2006
Like other readers, the style dates the book, but if you are interested in the content, its a worthy read esp Chapter 5 which gives a great potted history & general information about coke (an abridged & easier read than Cocaine - A Definitive History). The ending was a little disappointing & could do with an update.
Snowblind: A Brief Career in the Cocaine Trade - By: Mr_Nice, 25 Apr 2004
Like someone else said this book is a bit of a slow read, nevertheless, itstill makes an interesting read with some parts of the book making itimpossible to put it down & others letting it down. This wouldn't be inmy top 20 books to read, but definitely still worth it, if you've got thepatience.
BUY IT - By: , 22 Nov 2003
This is a very good book. I reallly enjoyed it & if your thinking of getting it, then do - you wont regret it. The competition scam was my favourite!
A GREAT STORY - By: BOOK BOY, 24 Aug 2003
An intelligent, lateral thinking, cheeky, innovative, funny chap Mr Swan, our raconteur & lead charachter is! Good story telling. Great smuggling! This book can easily be enjoyed by people with or without a specific interest in the [drugs] topic & the book deserves to be judged not againt others in the genre but stands up well against any book. I'm glad I took a chance & bought this, however the authors' other book is nowhere near as good (it's still excellent) but to follow up Snowblind is not the easiest task a writer could have.
