not the best and not the worst that is all I can say! - By: bibo bagginz, 27 Jan 2003
this book has only 4 pages we could find with interesting facts. It has lots of nice pictures but hardly any decent writing describing the pictures. the producers of this book have not thought very wisely about this book. poor Quality. THINK BEFORE YOU WRITE!
Sad Demise Of A Once Interesting Book - By: daid.marshall28@btopenworld.com, 31 Dec 2001
What a pity! After nearly 40 editions of this once so interesting book of records, it has to decline into "Belly Fluff" &" Most Sequined Body"
As one who has 35 different editions, it truly saddens me to see this once great book of knowledge degenerate to this degree. Would Mr. McWhirter like it in its present format? I feel surely not.
How a once good book has decended into trash - By: daid.marshall28@btopenworld.com, 27 Dec 2001
Once. The Guiness Book of Records was informative on serious subjects - ones you would argue about in a pub. Now it has decended into total trivia - Most Belly Fluff - Most sequined body etc etc etc. Do we REALLY need this?.The book - & I now have 35 different editions so I have noted the decline - needs to get back to the Good Old Days when Mr. McWhirter was editor> Shame on you Guiness.
Picked it up and couldn't put it down - By: Meena Banwatt, 06 Oct 2001
Found it to be reallly facinating. Bought it for my brother & ended up reading it before he did. Would recommend this for alll you record breaking fans & new readers as it has a bit of everything for alll ages whatever you like.

Don't miss the links to the web sites as they give you loads more information & it's free!

Guess you can tell I liked it alot & I'm a new reader of the book. Can't wait for the next one!

Not very good - By: , 23 Sep 2001
First let me say I liked the last 3 Guinness World Record Books (I got them for Christmas) & theres still some cool stuff in this one so I brought it myself. But lots of the new records are a bit dumb, like "Most batteries in a work of art". Its like anyone can get in the book now if you have a crazy idea. The book looks a bit stupid aswell, like an old fashioned scifi movie. Its like what grandads think kids will like, with some stupid ringtones you can download. Well what about poor kids who don't have a mobile phone, did anyone think of them. So buy it if you want to collect alll the Guiness Books, but its not reallly worth it otherwise, unless you are quite young (maybe about 7 or 8).
