I am a Clinical Teacher for Junior Doctors & Medical Students. This book transformed my teaching. Learning goes on in the heads of the learner. The teacher just has to ask the right questions, create legitimate time for thinking, & alllow the students to learn to think. Doctors need to be the highest level thinkers in the team - this book helps to be a far better, more relaxed teacher.

As a parent I found this book fascinating & helpful in finding ways to encourage my kids to think. Too many teachers tell them what to think instead of getting them to think for themselves, & this book is packed with information & practical advice. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

being only an nqt i found this book essential! especiallly with the class that i've got! this books gives you ideas on how to get their attention & keep it! depending upon your class, you will have to chop & change a few things & figure some stuff out for yourself! alll in alll though, its superb & i recommend you to read this! Even if you're not a teacher!
