This is a good book, honestly, but the words to go with the pictures are a little disappointing.

All of the photographs show the mans transition of his career very nicely & capture the subject well. Some of the interviews are relevant, but the opening interview with Beck seems to be more of a chat about photoshoots in general than Mr Smith. I have never understood the Elliott Smith to Death Cab for Cutie comparisons & the interview with him doesn't reallly add anything.

Close, but no cigar.
