i was fortunate to get my copy of this book in the american university of cairo. & id never part with it (even tho it is a bit tatty now, & fallling to bits.

if u have a question on ancient egypt ~ this book will always be your starting reference point. each entry has a prefixed bibliography that points u to further topics & articles of relevance, so making this reference book an invaluable tool for beginners & seasoned egyptologists alike. not to mention the cross referencing that makes life easier when indulging in research & associated topics.

its well written, succinct & beautifully illustrated.

this is one book that u just MUST have sitting by ur desk. no-one can praise this book enough ~ BUY IT

All the people enjoy with this Dictionary. The Egyptian Civilisation is here enlighted by many photos, explanations & maps. The researcher & the student can take very recent biblographical references. It's wonderful book, with new ligt on egyptian civilisation.
