I read this book more than 20 years ago & yet, even now, it still has the power to move me. What I remember more than anything was the descriptions of Black Elk's visions. These were vivid, sometimes quite lengthy, but always beautifully told.

Highly recommended to anyone who has an interest in the history of the betrayal & genocide of America's native people.
