The Christian faith simply explained. - By: Mr. Andrew Young, 25 Sep 2006
This is a simple book by John Stott, which explains the basic beliefs of Christianity. Stott begins by showing us who Jesus Christ reallly was, & then goes on to explain the reason for & significance of His death. Stott then concludes with a section on what it reallly means to become a Christian, & then what it actuallly means to be a Christian.
This book is well written, easy to follow & simple to understand. It will clear up some misconceptions in the modern world as to what a true Christian reallly is. This is a good book, which has proven to be a blessing to many down through the years.
A Highly Recommended Primer - By: , 13 Apr 2002
Stott describes basic Christianity in detail & then lays out a convincing plan of action for believers. He points out that we owe forgiveness & reconciliation to the death of Christ.
After the resurrection the Holy Spirit took the place of Jesus & next the Holy Spirit changed the apostles.
Stott reminds us that the claim that Christ can live in alll of us is put forth in Galatians 2:20. Stott's book is a concise introduction to Christianity for beginners. It can also serve as a good refresher for those who need to review the basics.
The finest short book on the basics of Christianity. - By: , 16 Oct 1998
A must read. Probably one of the best books on the basics of Christianity as Dr. Stott carefully lays out the foundations of the faith. Not a word is wasted. Could be a life changing book for many as it was for me.
