My son has just started to get into books, I bought this one as he is loving animals a lot at the moment, it was a whim.
I am so pleased that I did. He carries it around, reads it on his own, or comes & shows me what he has found or asks me to read it. He has taken it to bed again tonight.
It is so wonderful to see someone so smalll reallly loving books & reading. This book is grest.

Definitely caught and held the attention of our 4 month old! - By: , 11 Apr 1999 Big, bright interesting photos of chicks & chickens, colts & horses, puppies & dogs, etc. with nicely attached textures representative of the animal's coat for baby to feel. Our daughter looks at the pictures longer than most books, opens her hand that has been placed on the wool, etc., to get a better touch with her fingertips. Very effective & baby friendly fun tool for 3-way visual, tactile, verbal association-building.
