Alex? - By: Chris, 16 Jul 2007
I feel I should make a slight correction to an earlier point, I bought this book under the impression that Alex Ross was the artist, when in fact he only did the cover (and I think one or two promotional pages), the art itself is a very gothic (not clearly defined) style that I personallly am not a big fan of. The story was very good however, it could be said to have gone on for too long, not much more to say than is set in the future (Any more would give away the plot)
Captain America and Read Richards are Back...SUPER STUFF - By: , 10 Oct 2003
The best thing about this reallly superb graphic novel is its use of the characters which is gritty & and well written. The art work is no less than expected from Alex Ross. After the initial re-introduction of the main charactors (Cap,RR,bolt,Namor,Red Skull & a few other favortes including an out of shape Spiderman !!!)the story offers readers who may be less familar with the Marvel Universe a chance to understand the backrounds & relevent history of the aformentioned. After the initial few chapters of Earth X the story becomes one to its self & inturn makes the book reallly hard to put down!!!. The climax of the story is not going to disapoint & will make you want to buy Universe X immedialty....In essense a classic in the making !!!
this is a fabulous look at the Marvel Universe - By: , 11 May 2001
If you love comics, & particularly Marvel comics, this is a must have book. I'd read a lot of hype about the comic as it was published monthly, but I chose to ignore it. This is a marvelous collection of the comic, & it is a jaw-dropping read that knits together aspects of the Marvel Universe in a way that I'm sure Stan Lee, Jack Kirby & the other pioneers of the bullpen never planned, although it sure looks that way now.
Earth X - Xcellent - By: J. BLIGHT, 11 Jan 2001
An awesome look into the future of the Marvel Universe. I recommend this to anyone (who likes comics that is!).
