Could be better... - By: , 28 Jul 2005
This is a good technical manual but doent have a very friendly stle of wrinting & some comments left me feeling cold... such as this about adding wireless WAP to your network.. "youve got to configure its IP address scheme to match your networks.. start by configuring a workstation on the wired network with an ip address of 192.168.1.2 & subnet mask on the same subnet as the WAPS.." I work in IT & I found this very strange! would have been ok they provided an example! If some knows what the hell they are talking about then email me... lol.

Do not use this book on it own! - By: R. REILLY, 14 Oct 2004
DO NOT USE THIS BOOK ON IT'S OWN! I've just passed the Network+ exam on my second attempt, & take it from me you need more than this book to pass. I read the book through at least 4 to 5 times to make sure I had got everything down & accurate to a high standard/ degree. Once I could answer alll of the questions in the book, CD-ROM & any question from someone reading a random paragraph/ question from the book (alll to 100% scoring) I thought I was ready to sit the exam. Wrong! I took the exam & failed my ass off. Fair enough this book does give you a very good understanding of most topics covered in the Network+ exam, but it doesn't push the envelope i.e.: the extra information/ detail in which the N+ goes into & tries to trick you on. Take my advice & buy a superior question book, like the one I used for my passing on my second attempt: ISBN: 078973110X, Network+ Practice Questions, Charles J. Brooks, Ed Tittel. This book has 500+ 'real' questions, & once I could answer alll of them to 100% I knew I was ready. Sure enough, i took the exam ans passed.
Great tool to help pass the exam - By: George Gomes, 29 Apr 2004
I purchased this book so as to write the exam as soon as possible & keepit for reference. I'm glad I did as it helped me get through my exam firsttime. Reading through the well-laid out chapters made want to learn moreand I finished the book in just a few days.
The content is relevant, informative & made for enjoyable reading. The Deluxe edition comes witha Lab CD that is a must for anyone that does not have access to networkingequipment.
This to me was an excellent buy & it's helping me towards my CCNA.
Sybex Network+ Deluxe Edition Study Guide Review - By: Mr Paul Kirkup, 27 Aug 2003
After looking at the available study guides for this topic, I decided upon this title. From the first chapter you can tell that this is a comprehensive guide to the subject matter. All chapters are very easy to follow & the learning curve is kept to a steady, manageable pace. You will also find the Virtual Lab an amazingly accurate GUI environment to connect & configure your own test network. This book is a must for anyone who is not just looking too pass the N10-002 exam, but also have a solid knowledge of the subject.
