I just recently got this book & as usual de Lint has done a fantastic job in creating this story about two of his major characters. As usal, characterisation & pacing zips along, dragging you willing or not, into the story. CdeL should get a job as a soap opera writer so he can show them how to turn fantasy into reality! It's a great read, I reallly haven't enjoyed a book so much in ages - well, not since his last novel anyway, but even I was gobsmacked by the skill & magic of this recent work. In fact, I've taken alll his books off my shelf ready to read them again. Fantasy at its' best!
