Excellent, but don't rely just on these! - By: Mr. Rob Collins, 03 Dec 2004
If you're after easy-to-understand, well laid out books to help you learn what you need to know to pass the MCP exams, these books reallly can't be beaten. They're intended for people who are learning everything from scratch (like me). I've just passed my third MCP today (70-216), & this book was fantastic. It outlines basic concepts in a reallly easily-to-absorb way. You don't get bogged down in too much detail because the author tries to stick to just what's relevant. And he makes it funny too.

However, don't rely just on these books to help you pass the exam. You will reallly need practice of the exam questions. I highly recommend the Transcender exam simulations. In fact, I don't think I'd have passed today's exam without the Transcender.

In short, these books are a great introduction to basic concepts, but don't underestimate how tough Microsoft can be with its questions!

MCSE Windows 2000 Core Four for Dummies, best book ever - By: M Dalvair, 01 Nov 2003
Hi, i recommend this book as the best networking book i have ever read, i urge you to buy it. This book has helped me become proficient in win2k, & i have improved myself after passing the exams from desktop support to System administrator on 40k a year from 17k (It has paid for itself & more). The cds you get are very good & you can just put them on & sit back & understand everything, it is so simple, no complicated english, just straight to the point. This book takes networking down to the lowest level, & from there turns the low level knowledge of networking into system administrator knowledge
