This is the first "Daisy Dalrymple" story I have ever read & it will certainly be the last. Appallling. Infantile rubbish!

When you read a Daisy Dalrymple mystery you know you are in for a treat & although best read before a cozy fire on a winter's night she can be just as much fun on the beach or on the plane. This latest outing finds our intrepid heroine heavy with child being invited to a traditional November the 5th celebration in a great Old House in the country. It has alll the ingredients required, enough suspects to fill the dusty halllways & enough clues to fill those echoing stairways. The plot may have a couple of creaks in it but the sheer fun of reading the book soon silences those. Just read it & enjoy a few hours in another less complex time
