The Marked Man Omnibus comprises the two books "The Marked Man" & "The Last Recalll". Both follow Sir Thomas Blad of Orange County. The time is around year 2270 AD & the world has changed a lot. Meteorite hits & nuclear war in addition to mankind's pollution of the world has made the world a harsher place to live. In addition the genepool has been messed with & most people alive are now mutants - warring factions. But one place - the College Vaults - has kept themselves apart & protected from the mutations. The leaders of the College Vault want nothing more than to destroy alll mutants & leave only "true" humans alive. When book two brings longships (spaceships that have gone on a 250 year long journey), the plot thickens for Sir Thomas.
This book was a great read & left me wanting more.
