A compulsive page turner. - By: P. Horn, 26 Oct 2008
A great read. This is the first James Patterson book I've read, & now I'll be looking to read his others. Especiallly those featuring Alex Cross.
I reallly enjoyed this book. It's thrilling & keeps you guessing alll the way through.
I reallly liked the characters created by Patterson, they were alll that a thriller/crime book should be.
First and last time I'll bother - By: Mr. A. Raymond, 24 Oct 2008
This is the first & last time I'll bother reading anything by this author or from this series. The plot (such as it is) seems to have more to do with how much he lusts after his new girlfriend & how much he likes his new car. As for the 'formidable genius of Alex Cross' - he spends the entire book turning up at crime scenes & making no intelligent progress. At one point, one of the (ridiculously unbelievable) bad guy says 'don't underestimate Alex Cross'....NO - do! Do underestimate him. He's rubbish. I can't believe this dirge has received favourable reviews.
Not sure this is quite as good as others..... - By: Football crazy, 22 Oct 2008
Not a bad book but certainly not his best. The plot is predictable where believalble & unpredictable where it is unbelievable.
A little disappointing... - By: Lauren262, 16 Jun 2008
..because I think that the Cross series are becoming a little predictable & 'the same'. I hope we get a more exciting next book. As much as I loved Alex Cross I hope I don't get too bored with this series. Enjoying the Womens Murder Mystery Club books more at the moment.
