Good gripping read - By: J. S. Allan, 02 Oct 2008
This is the second book by Karen Rose I have read & it was just as good as the first. In places it was a little predictable but you still wanted to keep reading a little more before you put the book down.
For anyone who enjoys a book with murder & mystery, then you must try this author.
Die for Me ( Terrible read ) - By: Conor O. Brien, 12 Aug 2008
Not one of the best reads ever. I read the book through to the end to see if it would improve but to no end. The Author (Karen Rose ) is alll over the place in the book & keeps inventing characters alll the way through the book. The ending was predictable, overalll a reallly disappointing read.
Edge of the seat thrills - By: Wendy Jones, 11 Jun 2008
I loved this book from the minute I picked it up until the minute I put it down & it kept me reading long after I should have stopped & done some studying. The storyline involves a computer graphics designer who acts out the scenarios from his games in order to draw them realisticallly. The detective engages the help of an archeologist to solve the mystery of the graves which have been found & off the story goes at a whirlwind pace. Unlike other reviewers I enjoyed the personal storylines & feel that they make the book much more engaging. The descriptions are extremely graphic but very well written & I could imagine every scene. This is the first book I have read by Karen Rose & it will certainy not be the last. Any fan of the mystery thriller genre will certainly enjoy this.

one of the best books i've read this year, have already had my boyfriend & parents read it! i would recommend this book to anyone, the way the victims die was extraordinary the idea brilliant. have since read two other books by karen rose & recommended them both!
Dark and depressing - By: Ms. Eden, 25 Mar 2008
Having read this book my observation is that the author seems to only reallly enjoy writing the gruesome gory details, rather than the whole story, these soon become boringly repetitive, though no less grim.
The story behind the gore is miserable & weak, only reallly coming to life in the "obligatory" sex scene, which personallly I found dull & predictable.
I'm a fan of horror thrillers & this definitely had its fair share of the macabre but I tend to feel that if a book can't manage a suitably dark ending such as Richard Laymon delivers then it should opt for the "happily ever after" style of Dean Koontz- this book has neither, it merely runs out of emotion & dies.
Disappointing.
