Not one of her best - By: anonymous, 15 Nov 2008
Not one of her best books - although parts of it were good I found some of the characters a little annoying. I've reallly enjoyed many of Jill Mansell's other books but just couldn't get into this one. It wasn't a bad read but I'm glad that I got this one from the library & didn't pay money for it.
Actually quite a good read - By: Rosie Posie, 05 Apr 2008
I picked this one up purely because i liked the look of the cover. Not the best reason to chose a book, i know, but this time i wasnt dissapointed. Although the plot was slightly formulaic, i dont think it detracted from the charm of the characters, & the honest, down to earth herione of the story captured your interest & heart straight away. Managed to read the whole thing practicallly in one sitting.
Great read.
Lovely - By: Please Eat Me, 06 Feb 2008
This book & I started off to a rocky start. I had just put down my twilight when I picked this up & I had extremely high expectations of the publication industry.

I was not dissapointed. This book was everything I wanted it to be (although it wasn't exactly a vampire love story) it was a funny, breezy chick lit with a twist here & there to keep me interested.
Groaned in frustration & some characters, laughed in hysterics at others.
Overalll, I just thought iw as lovely. I got another Jill Mansell, Miranda's Big Mistake with this & I look forward to reading it!
Pleasant romp! - By: LindyLouMac, 28 Jan 2008
Another pleasant romp from Jill Mansell, who I think is one of the original & better modern day writers of `chick- lit'. I have been reading her novels since 1998 & she always writes in an amusing & up to date way. Hardly `brain fodder' but nonetheless a good choice for those times when you feel like reading something light & frothy.
The main character in this one is `empty nester' Ginny Holland trying to build a new life for herself now daughter Jem has gone off to university.
As always in her books there is a good mix of characters whose personalities emerge throughout the story with good development of the characters & their interesting relationships!

Brilliant read - By: Mr. J. West, 04 Jan 2008
This was the first Jill Mansell book Ihave read, bought as a Christmas present. Have not been able to put it down & have laughed & chuckled throughout. Reallly got into Ginny's character & thought it was very well written.
