Unrealistic but still a great read - By: EJ South, 25 Jul 2008
I love Louise Bagshawe's books & this one didnt disappoint. Yes there are inconsistences, ie dvds in the 1980s & it is unrealistic but its lovely light read! It incorporates strength & glamour to show how 3 women can suceed through determination & friendship.
fabuloso - By: Ms. Kirstin Mckay, 20 Jun 2008
I am so sick of people writing negative reviews because storylines, characters or situations are 'real or believable'

Get over yourselves & dont read fiction if it bothers you that much!

If you arent so rediculously snobby about the fantastic fantasy storylines you will love what this book has to offer.

The characters are powerful but sometimes troubled, they are somewhat endeering & the storyline makes you not want to put the book down. The writing is descriptive enough that you could feel yourself in thebook.

A fantastic storyline...a perfect girly getaway summertime read that will remove you from your own life into a world of glamorous girly characters.
Boring read - By: Natalie Jayne, 09 May 2008
I have read alll Louise's books & this is the first one I did not finish. I was very disappointed...I am about to buy her new book Glitz, I reallly hope she is back on form with this book as she is my favourite author!!

Up there near The Devil You Know. Great! - By: Ms. Amanda Corbett, 15 Apr 2008
Don't take full notice of the low ratings...buy this book & make up your own mind first. I finished it in three sittings & loved it!

Sometimes you need escapism, & this book took me away from the boring reality of life! Reading about women who fought the depressing odds of life certainly brightened my day! So what they were written to achieve greatness at a young age!

Buy if you enjoyed The Devil You Know which is my fav from Bagshawe. Magnus Soren & Rose get a mention in Glamour...which I think is a nice detail.

Can't wait to read Sparkles & Glitz!
A brilliant novel.. - By: Steph, 15, 16 Jan 2008
My mum had read the novel before me & highly recommending it. From the first page i was hooked. The story line was great, just a little off realistic but still believable. The characters stories are alll great if just a little bit stretched out.
One of the annoying things in this book is the repetitive nature of the writers figures of speech. All the same the book was extremely well layed out, especiallly as it jumps between three characters. There was no confusion as to who the writer was talking about.
This novel was a real page turner, & appeals to a large audience. I would recommend it to anyone.
