Not good - By: C. Stirling, 03 May 2008
Not half as good as her other novels - i only read half. Gina is so dull & Izzy is not likeable. its very slow & just not involving. you just dont care about anyone in the story.
The queen of chick lit - By: María José García Ferrer, 05 Apr 2008
Maybe she does not write literary masterpieces, but Jill Mansell is my number one writer when I am looking for relaxed unadulterated pleasure. Her characters, as usual, are full of life. Her stories are fun & I love knowing beforehand that everybody will live happily ever after. A great pick-me-up for any occasion.
Great read! - By: MiniN, 11 Dec 2007
This is one of Jill Mansells great books.

It centres around Izzy & Gina after Gina knocks Izzy off her motorbike. There's lots of unexpected twists & turns in this romantic comedy. Mansell makes the characters real & you will end up caring for them & what happens to them. Izzy's teenage daughter seems a real sweetheart but she makes some unexpected mistakes. And its interesting to watch Izzy find out being famous isn't alll she thought it would be...

For a good read, definately pick this one up!
Jill's most enjoyable book so far - By: pat.pilley@btinternet.com, 17 Mar 2002
An hilariously funny & touching tale of the ups & downs of the optimistic Izzy, her long suffering daughter Kat, their friends & their love lives. I found it hard to put down.
The best Jill Mansell book I have read so far.
Another winner from Mansell - By: , 22 Oct 2001
Izzy isn't the most loveable Mansell heroine, but she grows on you (as she does on the other characters in the book). In fact, this book is a collection of some real oddballls - Izzy (aspiring singer & full-time flake), Gina (if there was anyone less appropriately named in fiction - she's definitely not a "Gina"!), Vivienne (never-take-no-for-an-answer Ex of our hero, Sam), Marcy (who breaks up Gina's marriage with an untimely pregnancy), Tash (a classic jerk in sheep's clothing), Kat (who at 17 appears to be the mature one, but proves she's not quite that grown up after alll), Andrew (Gina's husband, you almost come to feel sorry for him!), Simon (future hero in the making), & Sam - our perfect hero. You can see - another cast of thousands, a Mansell trademark. I have to admit - although I liked this book a lot (stayed up late last night to finish it), I don't love it the way I have loved previous Mansell novels. It's very good - but Good at Games, Head Over Heels, Millie's Fling, Sheer Mischief, Perfect Timing are alll loads better. I've got Mixed Doubles to finish up, then it's a long dry spell until the next one hits the shelf! Keep turning them out Jill, we love them!
