Only one snag....it doesn't work - By: Nobby, 18 Jun 2008
It alll sounds fine but once you've spent a fortune on treatment & nothing happens, the implication is it's alll your fault.

It's difficult for them to go wrong on that basis. The fact is it did absolutely nothing for me but cost me an awful lot of money.

Reverse therapists used to talk about clinical trials that will prove it works. They have gone very quiet about that lately. I think I know why.
Interesting ideas but very repetitive - By: L. Somers, 29 Jan 2008
I was interested in Mr Eaton's views but found the prose repetitive & full of grammatical errors. It could have been written with half the number of pages, & it certainly does not seem like a cure for people with ME. However, some of the issues raised give food for thought so I'm glad I read it!
Reorienting behaviour around the bodymind: your path to reality. - By: Akraf Emaho, 18 Dec 2006
I thought I'd write a quick reply to the reviewer below (Whispering Bob) lest his opinion divert sufferers who could benefit greatly from the approach explained in this book.

Having had ME for over 6 years & been through many approaches including the sister therapy to the one in the book I feel I'm in a position of experience to write on this subject. I have not only my own experiences to calll on but also those of others (both ME/CFS sufferers & "healthy" people) who I have guided using some the of principles behind this treatment.

*Rule 1* for coming to an initial understanding of a topic & deciding whether it is worth spending more of your precious time & money exploring goes like this:

Seek out the opinions of those with both direct experience & obvious understanding of the topic. Ruthlessly ignore those without such experience & knowledge; they are broadcasting noise rather than information.

When suffering from this kind of illness, activity can exacerbate symptoms. But it does not create them. The symptoms are already there, trying to guide towards the actions that are in your best interest. The more you fail to act on these messages, the louder & more disabling they become.

The principles of Reverse Therapy/Mickel Therapy actuallly predict spontaneous remission & explain why most therapuetic approaches are extremely inconsistent with some apparently miraculous recoveries & many painful failures. You get well when you start doing what our bodymind needs you to do. Sometimes a little healing or a change in your life is alll it takes for this to happen, but if you don't want to buy a ticket for that lottery you'll need to learn to listen to your body & learn what it wants from you. This is the natural order of things & therefore the route to the most complete of recoveries.

These principles are not new: the energetic medicines of the world (i.e. almost alll of them bar Allopathy) are based on the understanding that if you are congruent in your actions you will be healthy.

Good luck, & have faith in your body's ability to create perfect health.

i have been to see Dr. Eaton - By: Retard McRetarded, 25 Sep 2006
I have had a chornic fatigue syndrome type ilness for almost 2 years now. It became quite bad when i got the flu last year & i was off school for two terms. Now almost a year after that, i am going to school almost every day & i am staying for about 5 hours when i get in. I have this book & Dr. Eaton to thank. It is nothing like i have seen before (although i am only 14)and YOU have to read this just to understand what it is about. It's a revolutionary approach to curing people with M.E etc...
I have been to see Dr. Eaton about six times & i am on my way back up to completely full health. BUT this is about the book, you have to read it if you (as a sufferer) want to get better. It is hard to understand, but it works, & this book shows you how Dr. Eaton can help.
If you want to get better, buy this book - By: Alison, 16 Aug 2006
Book Review Amazon

The Reverse Therapy Approach by Dr. John Eaton led to my recovery through taking sessions with an excellent therapist, & by providing support between sessions. The text is clear & straightforward, & easy to absorb (even with brain-fog), & relevant case studies are given.
After having been ill with M.E. for eight years, & trying many methods to get better, I could only say that other methods `helped'. This book explains a method that literallly makes you well again & has become the most important book I have ever read.
