THIS IS A VERY FUNNY BOOK - NO ARGUMENT! - By: M. Drake, 22 Dec 2007
Mil`s observations on the ridiculious nature of human relationships & male sexuality make this book a joy to read - the observations of college life with their ludicrious structures & time serving officialdom are spot on - the finale takes us into a flight of fancy which takes off into the stratosphere - we may have slight reservations but it makes for a highly enjoyable & entertaining ride!

Tears of laughter! - By: Matthew Magor, 02 Aug 2007
I found this book in a second hand book shop in Thailand & bought it to kill a few hours on a coach. The first chapter had me in hysterics much to the annoyance of the Italian woman who had to sit next to me for a few hundred miles.

Each sentence seems to build upon the last joke & the entire book is filled with gut wrenchingly dry wit & sarcasm. I read most of it aloud as my friend couldn't stand not knowing what I was laughing at.

Very well written, definitely my kind of humour & so hard to read with a straight face. Comic genius!!
Witty - By: Net, 03 Jun 2007
You reallly couldn't help but like this book. Pel was such a funny character to follow lurching from one comical disaster to another, burying his head further in the sand as the story went on. Flanked by a very amusing set of work colleagues, friends & family this was an enjoyable read not to be taken too seriously!
Excellently funny, disappointly structured - By: J. Rushbrooke, 23 Nov 2006
I had great hopes for this book, particularly as I'd just read 'Love & other Near Death Experiences' - unfortunately for me, I read them in the wrong order (I made the same mistake with Angels & Demons / The Da Vinci Code) & when compared with its successor 'Things My Girlfriend & I Have Argued About' quite simply doesn't stand up to much scrutiny.

Mil Millington has an excellent eye for comedy, he can create witty dialogue that made me laugh out loud; the situations the protagonist finds himself in are jaw achingly amusing & this book is highly comparable to the Wilt series by Tom Sharpe.

Where this book lets itself down is in the plotting. It is a series of very well written sketches, but unlike Sharpe who finishes by tying up alll the loose ends, Millington just stops. I became increasingly worried as I giggled my way towards the end that there weren't enough pages left to tie everything up satisfactorily. Sadly my giggling & amusement gave way to disappointment & frustration when I realised I was right.

As a series of funny sketches & witty argument based dialogues this book will have you rolling about the floor but as a story it simply doesn't hit the mark.
Don't read this on the train! - By: Rochelle, 25 Jun 2006
I read this over a hot weekend sitting in the garden & just kept on laughing out loud - so I had to phone a friend & read her some too! She's made me promise to lend it to her when I've finished. One of the funniest books I've read.
