dreadful, dreadful. dreadful, dreadful - By: A. rochfort, 21 Jun 2008
my daughter had to read this book for homework. i have never been as bored by a book in my life. my daughter who was 9 at the time & luckily had an interest in reading found it tough going. the story drags, the characters are uninspirational & the story is just plain monotonous. for children who havn't go a great interrest in reading anyway stay well away from this book. a one star rating is too good for this book
Gobbolino - By: T. Peters, 15 Dec 2007
Sorry everyone! I loved this book as a child in the 70s & so bought it for my young daughter. It did not hold her interest & ,in fact, as I read it, we both found it quite depressing. Not how I remembered it. Dissapointed.
Simply lovely - By: Emily Matthews, 04 Feb 2007
I bought this book recently for myself (I am in my twenties) because I remember having loved it so much as a child. Once again I was totallly enchanted by this wonderful story, Gobbolino reallly is a classic joy, for children & adults alike. Buy a copy for the children & keep a copy on your own bookshelf with pride!
Magical - By: lilysmum, 18 Nov 2006
This book was read to my class in Infants School & it remains one of my favourite books 35 years later. The author has just died, I believe, aged 95. She wrote nearly 70 books & this is probably the best known. The language & style are beautifully crafted & it is a joy to read aloud.

I read this book when I was in juniors school (year 6) i've loved it so much, it's just a fantastic read. So much so i even named my cat after it, he's 15 now.
