An excellent A & P book - By: S. Hawksley, 19 May 2008
I love this book!
I am currently doing a nursing course. My A & P exams are within the next few days & I use this book for a lot of my revision alongside my lecture notes. I find the colourful diagrams especiallly useful when trying to learn alll of the labels. I find it is a handy size to put in a bag & carry with me for any revision that can be done on the move or in a spare few minutes, it is easier to carry than a folder full of lecture notes. I have a larger A & P book at home too but it doesn't get used as much as this one. Hopefully it will see me through my 1st year nursing exams & into year 2!
The A&P Bible! - By: Book witch, 20 Feb 2008
For many years I have taught A&P using a variety of resources for the classes, then this book arrived & it replaced alll the others for the students! It is compact, yet a definitive guide to alll the systems, providing detailed diagrams along with information to complete each system.
Great alll rounder, economic, smalll to carry & packed with information!
Basic, but to the point with excellent diagrams. - By: funkyfish01, 22 Jan 2008
I am a Biology degree student & used this along side a much more advanced a&p text as pre-lecture reading & a revision prompt. The explanations are clear & concise with simply brilliant illustrations. Every body system is covered briefly.
This book is easily accessible to many people; & a firm understanding of biology is not required to read this. Someone curious of the human body would not be put off by this book, & would hopefully be encouraged to read further.
However, this book is basic & does not cover everything; but for what it does cover & the methods used it is superb value & something useful for dipping in & out of for a quick refresher of anatomy.
The most used book in my surgery! - By: Dr GB, 28 Jul 2007
I love this book! I bought it when I was still training as a GP, & despite now being a bit thumbed & well used it remains my favourite way of explaining things to patients.
It has two separate sections - the first part is alll about anatomy & physiology in normality, & a smalller section at the back gives basic explanations for a number of disease states.
If you are looking to use this as an only textbook for a degree course in anatomy or physiology you will be disappointed - it does not go into sufficient detail for that. BUT if you want a decent & correct introduction to the overalll scope you'll find it a delightful book. The diagrams are absolutely correct, & without fail I can always find a drawing to explain whatever I am trying to explain to a patient.
I can absolutely guarantee that when my current copy finallly bites the dust I'll be buying another copy straight away!! Best fiver I've ever spent!
Everything you Need Pocket Size - By: Honest Bob, 27 Jun 2007
This book has everything you need for an A&p student or someone looking into message therapy.
It has everything you need with the entire body laid out in simple terms.
Usualy these books are like carying an 80's music system under your arm but this one is smalll & easy to carry.
A must have if A&P is to your interest.
