WONDERFUL !! - By: L. BUZZO, 16 Jun 2008
I have never written a review before, but this series forces me to declare that I absolutely love it. I have read alll the books in order & in a very short period of time. I have devoured them, never being able to put them down. It is a series I highly recommend. It is unmatched.. unique.. a great story as a whole. I have never read something so faboulous & captivating as the BDB.
The only fault is that with each book the romance diminishes, there is less space for the love story & more & more space is occupied by the secondary characters. But I have got to know them so well that I can hardly wait to see what happens to them. I find myself reading the stories of the secondary characters (John,Blay,Quinn...)as fervently as the main plot.
BUY THE WHOLE SERIES AND YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED. IT IS UNIQUE, SEXY, HOT, SOMETHING COMPLETELY NEW.
"Black Dagger Brotherhood" series book 3 - By: A Reader, 01 Jun 2008
Zsadist, a warrior vampire member of the Black Dagger Brotherhood has featured significantly in the previous two books of this series & to put it bluntly is one dangerous SOB. One could immediately question the sanity of any woman attracted to his scary appearance (scars & alll) let alone his less than charming personality until learning of his own personal torments. Stolen at only seven months old, Zsadist was later sold into slavery, & following his transition into vampiric adulthood, became the blood slave of a depraved, insatiable woman prepared to inflict any sexual degradation upon his body. Stripped of alll emotion until only a burning hatred is left Zsadist is one big emotional train wreck, taking down as many casualties as he can around him; including his twin brother; the beautiful Phury.

This book continues with the hunt for Bella, the vampire female kidnapped by the Lesser Society. Several months have passed since her abduction & although there are some who believe she is dead, Zsadist & the Brotherhood continue their search for her. When Bella is rescued, it is Zsadist she wants near her; for comfort to overcome her ordeal, to feed from to regain her health & to love & feel his protective strength surrounding her. Yet Z rejects her; unaware of how to handle a woman who actuallly wants him. Associating sex with only deep pain & shame, Z is unable to understand his body's physical reaction to her (and what a body!); unaware he is bonding & fallling in love with Bella.

JRW creates vivid characters, people the reader can genuinely care for & root along side with as they face off their enemies in a variety of confrontations whilst battling their own personal demons. In fact I found some of the scenes in this book; particularly how Bella handles Zsadist's first experience of pleasurable sex & the death of a significant character deeply moving. I can only give a big thumbs up to a writer able to produce such emotive scenes amongst the heavy action that takes place.

You have to buy this book!! - By: Eleeeesse, 08 Jan 2008
This is one of the best books I have read in a long time. I could not put it down & now I am reading it for the second time in two weeks while i wait for number one in the series to arrive. Its probably best to read them in order to follow over arching story threads. I cannot recommend this book enough, buy it, read it & read it again!!
Another compulsive read by JR Ward - By: Linda Temple, 13 Nov 2007
I have just read this book & had to go back & read Lover Revealed again so I could then read Lover Unbound as this third novel of the series had initiallly went unavailable until recently. I am not going to give the game away with what happens. Enough said that in each book the poor psychologicallly traumatized tough guy with a soft centre gets his soul mate. The background to Zhadist's trauma is explored in this book (and is truly traumatic).
Thanks for the spoiler KAREN - By: Laura Phillipson, 11 Oct 2007
Yeah thanks a bunch Karen for the spoiler. Now no one will have to read it. I hate it when people do that.

I love these books. Each one is fresh the characters different, the sex hot & the atmosphere elctric.

Unlike the Carpathians books by Freehan where its the same book re written 14 different ways with the same boring cliche's time after time.

I would recomend these books to anyone who enjoys hot sex, flawed heroes & not your typical heroin. And frankly, I prefer it when they dont get together in the first chapter Karen, its callled sexual tension!
