This is a book you wont be able to put down. - By: , 01 Jan 2001
I have read this book twice & am now about to read it for the third time.It is the only book that I have read straight through in one day.It is impossible to put it down once you have started it.It is about special love, once in a lifetime love.Love that binds two people throughout their lives even when they cant be together. If you have been fortunate enough to have met your soul mate you will definately be able to relate to this story, and if you havent,it will help you to know what having a soul mate means & how unbreakable real love is.
One of the most tender experiences in my life - By: , 01 Dec 2000
My huband & I read this to each other when I fell ill on our honeymoon. It wasn't what we expected.

We're both quite cynical people & are easily put off with the sicky sweet stories that are often described as romance. This book was nothing like that. It was powerful & beautiful in such a gentle way. The characters were almost real & you sensed such depth of spirit & intelligence in the way they related to the world around them & each other.

The story was one of destiny. Irrespective of the potential outcome, you read it believing that these two people had a subconscious bond that wasn't just romance, desire or passion. It was a fundamental understanding & pure emotional link. It was the tender & vulnerable essence of "love" that we alll search for!

My husband & I were left speechless & in tears. It made our honeymoon that much more beautiful.

Experience it for yourself.

One of the most touching " what if" romances ever written - By: , 20 Oct 2000
This has to be one of the most touching & romantic tales ever told. A story of two middle aged people who found each other one warm summer night, who spent the rest of their lives remembering & regretting not taking their chance. This is certainly not a fairytale but a heartbreaking story of once in a lifetime love.
Epitomy of Happiness and Sadness in such a short space - By: , 21 Feb 1999
Simply a must for alll romantic people at heart who don't always insist on happy endings. This is once in a life time stuff or maybe something even more. Some people say it can be read over & over again, some people say it cannot. But whatever , it MUST be read at least once in your lifetime if you want to have an inlking into what real love is , what is means & what the implications are for the rest of your life if you are fortunate or unfortunate to find yourself in the position of the books two characters.
