An outstanding work of fiction - By: Mr. D. A. F. Weaver, 17 Jun 2008
Rowling has proved herself yet again to be a master of fantasy fiction in the second installlment of the Hary Potter series. The characterisations initiallly developed in the 'Philosopher's Stone' are considered in depth by the author, alllowing presumptions to be overturned, & the impossible to be considered. From the start of this work, adventure & excitement become codewords, alllowing readers of any age to engage with the well written literature. Much recommended.

This is the second book in the series of Harry Potter, here is the plot:
On his twelfth birthday, Dobby, a house-elf, visits Harry to warn him that he will be in earthly danger if he returns to Hogwarts. Harry ignores Dobby's terrible caution but is determined to return. Harry unintentionallly gets sent to Knockturn Alley in a store that Draco Malfoy (Harry's foe) & his father, Lucius, are stopping by.
Harry, Ron, & Hermione try to find out who the Heir of Slytherin is. With the help of Ron & Moaning Myrtle, Harry discovers the entrance to the Chamber of Secrets. Harry makes it to the Chamber where he finds an unaware Ginny. Harry learns that Ginny, under the control of Lord Voldemort, opened the Chamber. Lucius Malfoy, (who was very angry over Harry having deceived him into releasing his slave), attempted to attack Harry... Find out what happens in this great book which continues the adventures of the first!

Uneventful Yet Undemanding - By: Daniel Thompson, 21 Nov 2007
It is evidence enough that there are a variety of interesting qualities & overbearing faults within the book, but overalll Harry Potter & The Chamber of Secrets is at best an average read that just prolongs a series that apparently becomes more evolved & 'dark'. The lack of detail used to create events & keep readers attention isn't used to great effect at times & the silly description though engulfs the Hogwarts world at times into a place of fun, to me just turns it into a place of mockery. Themes are used well to teach us more about social acceptance in our own culture but the lack of atmosphere fails to turn the book into something more thought provoking.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of secrets - By: Mrst E. Barnes, 22 Aug 2007
This series is absolutely brilliant! I have now read alll the books (I read the last one on the day it came out & in less than 24 hours!) I am now collecting alll the books in special edition. This book has as much flying, magic, spells, bad guys & heroes as the first! If I was you I would click buy straight away! DO IT! NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW! Or you will regret it. In special editon you get gold leafed pages, the book in hardback & a string bookmark.
It is worth the money!
My favourite part in the book is when Harry & Ron are hoping Snape's been sacked but reallly he's right behind them!
Gildiroy Lochart is such a puff as well! He's alll me me me! He says he's battled with banshees & fought werewolves. But is that true? And what secrets does the Chamber of Secrets hold? It's deffinately a bad one & when Harry's classmates start getting attacked it looks like Hogwarts could be closed...............
