HELLO DARKNESS - By: DevJohn01, 16 Oct 2005
Sandra Brown is one of my favorite suspense writers. I enjoyed some of her other works such as ` ENVY' & `THE CRUSH' & `HELLO DARKENESS' ranks right up there with some of my favorites. It is a race against time when radio personality Paris Gibbson receives a terrifying phone calll from a regular listener who goes by the name of Valentino. Valentino claims that upon Paris' advise his girlfriend is going to break up with him, so he has kidnapped her & plans to kill her in 72 hours leaving the girls death on Paris' conscious. When Paris enlists the help of the Austin police force she meets up with detective Dean Mallloy someone who she though she had left in the past when she left her home town of Huston after a tragic accident.
As time winds down Paris & Mallloy try desperately to find Valentino, while simultaneously trying to reconcile with their past, before he carries out his threat. This is a fast paced novel that truly kept me guessing until the very end.

I read this book on on my way to work, never have I wished that my commute took longer! This is a thoroughly captivating book that keeps you turning pages right up to the end.
I would recommend this book to anyone, this is not a book you will be able to read over a few weeks - after page 1 you are hooked.
An excellent book - By: megamarble, 08 Mar 2004
Having spent along time reading the lord of the rings, I fancied some easy reading & this fitted the bill perfectly. It has a great story with believeable characters & a convincing plot. I haven't quite finished it yet but i would be suprised if the ending doesn't live up to the first 3/4. Recommended - I'll certainly read another by this author
