It's my Bible - By: A. Morris, 22 Feb 2007
As most soon-to-be parents do, I went out & bought loads of the books that were supposed to be the book to have. Non of them have been as helpful as this one. A friend sent me a second hand copy from New Zealand saying that it was doing the rounds down there & everyone raved about it. I can very confidently fully recommed it as it has been my bible for the last 21 months. Now that my little boy is not so little any more, I've just gone out & bought Toddler Taming the next book & that looks just as good so far.
Babies! A Parent's Guide to Enjoying Baby's First Year - By: , 07 Nov 2003
There are a lot of books out there for new & not so new parents alike, unfortunately not too many of them are helpful! This book is different, it is written in an understandable & humourous style & is fully practical in most of it's advice. The author doesn't expect parents to be superhuman & focuses on enjoying, understanding & adjusting to new demands without having to fit your baby into a box.
Excellent commonsense guide - By: L. Clay, 11 Dec 2002
Bought this just before the birth of our first baby & found it to be a good commonsense, amusing general guide. We have gone back to it many times & will no doubt pass it on to another needy parent soon. My father-in-law read the part about grandparents being an underused resource - so very useful indeed!
Babies! - By: , 02 Dec 2002
I was given this book at the birth of my son 8 years ago. It was a great help: easy & quick to read, brief; informal; informative. I have since passed it around to many new parents & am having to buy it for a new mum as the last person I leant it to wants to hang onto it as she finds it so useful.
practical and funny - By: , 16 Aug 2002
This book was recommended to me by my partners midwife as she said that she & alll her colleagues thought it was the best baby book around. I totallly agree, it is practical & gives brilliant suggestions for alll things that can happen to a baby in the first 12 months. I find myself picking the book up & reading it whenever I have a spare moment.
