Having bought the prequel to this book (Programming ASP.NET 2.0 Core Reference) which was a fairly decent reference for everything ASP.NET 2.0, I didn't reallly have that high hopes for Esposito's advanced book on ASP.NET 2.0 - to my surprise this book is actuallly quite good!

The book covers many of the great features in ASP.NET 2.0 like the asynchronous programming model, custom controls, web parts, custom ASP.NET providers, & many other features that are considered to be "advanced" - I don't consider this book that advanced, rather it strikes me as being everything he left out in the core reference book.

This is the best book I have read on some topics of ASP.NET 2.0 which are considered to be advanced - this book should be bought in context of a reference, however, its a fairly decent read.

Definatley worth the purchase.
